Qualified as a Radiographer in 1992. Mr. Colin Monaghan has lived, trained and worked his whole career in Liverpool.
His CT career started on an early single slice third generation scanner to now working on state of the art low dose whole body machines.
He has been CT Lead Radiographer at Liverpool Heart & Chest Hospital since 2004 providing Thoracic and Cardiovascular imaging. As the regional Cardiothoracic Centre they have been early adopters of new technologies and techniques - from Cardiac CT with a 4 slice scanner to the introduction of dual energy and low dose thoracic techniques. The CT training and initiatives developed at LHCH are now underpinning services and research around the globe.
