Graduated in medicine from Federal Fluminense University, master’s in medicine (radiology) from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and PhD in Medicine (radiology) from Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. Professor Emeritus of Radiology at Federal Fluminense University. Full Professor of radiology at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, and titular member of the Brazilian College of Radiology.
Editor of the journal Radiologia Brasileira and associate editor of the Brazilian Journal of Pulmonology, besides being a researcher 1A of the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPQ). Prof. Marchiori has more than 1000 scientific articles published in Brazil and abroad, 2 books published, about 50 book chapters, around 850 classes, lectures and conferences held in events in Brazil and abroad, in addition to about 170 doctoral theses and master dissertations oriented.
He has experience in medicine field, with emphasis on thoracic radiology, acting mainly on the following topics: high-resolution computed tomography in the study of pulmonary diseases, correlated to anatomopathology.
